Dear math student,
Are you interested in the university and education, do you like to tell teachers how they can improve their courses, and do you like free coffee? Then we are looking for you! Sign up to be WOL next year, to be our successor. You will be part of the WOL with two other students for one year, and each of you will be a member of either the OAC and the OC, the board of the Department, or the Faculty Council. This means that you have influence on what happens at the university in many different ways. With the WOL, you will host WWW'tjes to hear from math students, visit seminars, and talk to teachers about their courses and lectures.
To apply, send an email in which you introduce yourself and with a motivation letter to science.wol@uu.nl before April 1st! In the following weeks, there will be interviews. If you have questions regarding what it is exactly that we do, how much time it costs, or anything else: approach us, or send a text or an email. You can find our contact information on the site (under Members).

Hey everybody! The SONS is looking for it's new board for 2023/2024. We are a 3 person board which mostly keeps busy with relaying the opininion of students to the university. As part of the SONS you are also responsible for the student tutors, holding evaluations with students and organising the departement day.
Therefore you will be in an essential positition. You would either be in the facultyadvisory, the departementboard or the OC/OAC. For both of these you will be (more than) fairly compensated. If you are interested send us an email to (science.sons@gmail.com) then we'll gladly incite you for an interview.
We are also looking for future OAC participants so also send us an email if you are interested in the OAC.

Oh no we have to much money left over, so join us at the efteling for only 18,25! You have to travel there by yourself and be there at 10:30-11:00
The idea that math doesn't just have to be practical, but that you can also do math just because it is fun, is nearly 4000 years old and was first thought up by the Babylonians. In order to keep this ancient tradition of doing recreational maths alive, the Cie Infinity organises the Recreational Math Evening every month. An evening of looking at fun mathematical questions together, of the type that you also get at contests like the (international) math olympiad, the MOAWOA or the IMC. Everyone is welcome and there are exercises of every level! So join the dork side, we have cookies!
Today the location, price and date of the excurcie 2023 will be revealed in the A-es chamber or at the borrel, so don't miss it!
Batavierenrace 2023.
This is the first payment of 20 euros. When the costs are known, a second payment will be made. The final number should be around 35 euro.
This year, the Batavierenrace will take place again.
This page is used as a pre-registration. Final registration and payment will follow, along with additional information. Expected costs: 35 euro.

On the 2nd of may, the yearly Career Symposium will happen, with 3 tracks, 3 rounds and 9 companies coming to us to give a talk on what they do, and what you can do at their company. There will be free drinks en pizza after, plus a CV check with Simone Kastelein of Career Services. Further information will follow
